The long-awaited 56th Lake and Guest Festival will return to illuminate the port of Rivoltella, a hamlet of Desenzano del Garda, from August 1st to 4th. Organized by the “Cuori Ben Nati” association with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Desenzano, this event promises four evenings of local gastronomy, music, and entertainment.
The festival confirms itself as a must-attend event for residents and tourists, thanks to a balanced mix of tradition and innovation. Every evening, from 7:00 pm onwards, the food stands will open their kitchens, offering a wide selection of typical dishes such as risotto, gnocchetti, casoncelli, spiedo alla bresciana, luccio alla barcarola, fritto misto, and stracotto d’asino. All of this will be accompanied by the renowned wines of Cantine Zenato or fresh beer served directly at the Los Caballeros gazebo.
The artistic direction is entrusted to Daniele Marcoli, known as “Cimel Dj”. Every evening from 9:30 pm, different musical performances will take turns on stage:
– Thursday, August 1st: opening with the Bandino dei Cuori Ben Nati followed by a ’70s/’80s/’90s night with Mikki Jay Dee and Diego Frera voice.
– Friday, August 2nd: Rusty Brass Band from 11:00 pm, followed by Music ’90/2000 with Mikki Jay Dee and Diego Frera voice.
– Saturday, August 3rd: Jam Live Shock followed by Disco Music with Riccardo Manfrin DJ.
– Sunday, August 4th: concert by OXXXA, who will close the evening together with Happy Music featuring Mikki Jay Dee and Diego Frera voice.
The program also includes sports activities. On Saturday, August 3rd, there will be a Beach Volley tournament at the Spiaggia d’Oro courts. On Sunday, August 4th, there will be a foosball (table football) tournament starting at 9:00 am.
The president of Cuori Ben Nati, Giuliano Garagna, recalls how the festival has evolved over time: “There was a time when there was only fried lake fish and red wine straight from the demijohn. Today everything has changed, certainly for the better.” Garagna emphasizes the importance of safety for participants and the quality of the performances offered. In his opinion, the continuous success of the event is due to the numerous volunteers who contribute to its realization every year.
Environmental sensitivity will also be a focus this year. All utensils used during the festival will be biodegradable and compostable to reduce waste and respect the surrounding environment.
