Navigazione Laghi and Trenitalia have announced a strategic partnership to promote sustainable tourism and encourage travel by public transportation. The government agency, which receives over 3 million annual visitors to its website, has added banner links to Trenitalia, allowing visitors to conveniently and eco-friendly travel to the lakes by train.
The goal of this collaboration is to offer citizens and tourists the opportunity to travel daily using the intermodal transportation provided by the combination of trains and boats. This aims to incentivize the use of public transportation, reduce air pollution, and alleviate traffic on the road network.
Pietro Marrapodi, the Government Manager of the Agency, commented: “This partnership aims to consolidate a fundamental paradigm for us: working to offer citizens and tourists the opportunity to travel using public transportation. We want to contribute to reducing air pollution and improving the travel experience.”
The collaboration between Navigazione Laghi and Trenitalia has been positively received by the Ministry of Transportation and Minister Salvini, who are always attentive to strengthening local public transportation services. This partnership represents an important starting point for a solid future collaboration between the two companies.
