On the afternoon of April 19th, the Carabinieri of the Bussolengo Station intervened following a report of a robbery at a private residence. According to the investigations carried out by the military, a 17-year-old boy had arrived at the home of an elderly woman to collect a sum of money and valuables. The young man had pretended to be a lawyer on the phone and had told the elderly woman about the legal troubles of her son, who was involved in a serious road accident involving a pedestrian.
However, during the attempted scam, the woman’s daughter arrived home, thus thwarting the success of the criminal operation. The boy tried to escape by pushing the elderly woman and kicking the daughter in the groin. Fortunately, with the help of neighbors, the two victims managed to detain the boy until the arrival of the Carabinieri.
The minor was arrested in flagrante delicto for aggravated improper robbery and personal injuries. Subsequently, he was taken to the Juvenile Penitentiary Institute in Treviso, as ordered by the Judicial Authority.
