In the historic heart of Lazise, a new municipal ordinance, number 39, was introduced on April 29, 2024. This measure specifically regulates the use of carts, pallet jacks, wheeled waste containers, and laundry carts, essential tools for the tourist and hospitality activities that animate the center.
Starting from June 1, 2024, until January 6, 2025, all carts and containers used for the transportation of materials and laundry must be equipped with rubber wheels, preferably pneumatic, to mitigate noise on cobblestone streets. This measure aims to protect public and private tranquility, especially during the high tourist season when there is a significant increase in the movement of such equipment.
The use of waste containers is also strictly regulated in relation to the opening hours of the ecological island, which can be consulted on the municipality’s website in the “Waste Transparency” section. In case of leakage of liquids or other waste materials along public roads, the responsible parties must immediately clean up the area, ensuring maintenance of cleanliness and order.
Anyone who violates the provisions of this ordinance will be subject to administrative fines ranging from €25.00 to €500.00. The Local Police of Lazise has been tasked with enforcing the measure. For maximum transparency, the ordinance has been published in the Municipal Notice Board and transmitted to the Lazise Carabinieri Station for awareness.
It is also informed that it is possible to appeal against this ordinance to the Regional Administrative Court of Veneto within 60 days of its publication, or to file an extraordinary appeal to the Head of State for reasons of legitimacy, as provided by current legislation.
