The historic lemon house of Castèl in Limone sul Garda will remain open throughout the winter, offering free admission to visitors. According to the municipality’s announcement, tours will take place on weekends, every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 AM to 5 PM, until March 30. Recently, the lemon house celebrated its 20th anniversary since its inauguration in 1995, following significant restoration work that transformed it into an important cultural and educational tourist space.
The facility houses a variety of citrus fruits such as lemons, citrons, and grapefruits within its 18 “còle,” along with a dedicated educational museum. During the past summer, Tripadvisor recognized this citrus agritourism, ranking it among the best experiences in the world due to positive visitor reviews. Additionally, the lemon house features nighttime lighting that further enhances its architectural beauty.
