The Municipality of Desenzano del Garda has launched a project for the upgrading of public lighting, which involves the modernization of 133 light points on Via Garibaldi and the repositioning of 21 poles on Via Dal Molin. This initiative aims to enhance public safety for pedestrians and cyclists, reduce light pollution, and optimize energy efficiency. The affected streets also include Annunciata, Vicolo Filatoio, Via Piatti, Vicolo San Giovanni, and Via Murachette, with new light points planned in key areas such as Piazza Garibaldi and Via Vittorio Veneto.
The total investment for the project amounts to 70,000 euros and has been awarded to Enel X under an Energy Performance Contract, ensuring that there are no additional costs for citizens. The Councillor for Public Works, Giovanni Maiolo, emphasized that this initiative represents an important step towards a safer and more sustainable city, contributing to the improvement of residents’ quality of life and environmental respect.
