The Local Police recently carried out a significant security operation, apprehending two pickpockets caught in the act during the weekly Thursday market. This intervention took place on Thursday, June 27, following numerous reports of thefts among the stalls.
Law enforcement has intensified patrols in the area, organizing targeted services with plainclothes officers and uniformed colleagues. During one of these checks, two women were caught attempting to steal a wallet. They were immediately detained and subsequently charged with the offense.
The municipal administration expressed great satisfaction with the work of the Local Police. In an official statement, it reads: “The excellent work carried out by the Local Police Command once again demonstrates a great commitment to the safety and tranquility of citizens and visitors.”
This operational success is part of a broader context of strengthening public security measures in the municipality. Recently, the staff of the Local Police has been increased, allowing for a greater presence of patrols in the area.
With the arrival of summer and the increase in tourist flow in the Lake Garda area, there will be a further increase in surveillance activities, especially in the evening hours and during high-attendance events such as the weekly market. The goal is to ensure a safe and peaceful stay for residents and visitors.
