Minister for Disabilities, Alessandra Locatelli, inaugurated two important centers in the province of Brescia. In Toscolano Maderno, the new Fobap Anffas center, built with the contribution of the Brescia Community Foundation and the Silvestro and Margherita Niboli Fund, was officially opened. The facility, costing almost ten million euros, will accommodate around forty people with disabilities and autism, providing them with a residence tailored to their specific needs. The ceremony was attended by Bishop Pierantonio Tremolada and various representatives of the organizations involved.
In the afternoon of the same day, Locatelli went to Ludriano di Roccafranca for the inauguration of the Borgo della Cura. This project involves the transformation of a former nursery school into a residence for forty guests with Alzheimer’s disease. The entire municipal council led by Mayor Marco Franzelli welcomed the minister, who emphasized the strategic importance of the initiative for the province. The project will face several financial challenges but could benefit from PNRR funds. During the visit, Locatelli announced that Brescia will be among the pilot provinces for the new “Project of Life” launched with the Disability Decree starting in 2025.
