A working table was recently held in Lombardy to discuss the future of the nuclear industry and the opportunities related to technological development in the sector. The meeting, convened by regional councilor Guido Guidesi, saw the participation of key players in the Italian energy landscape, including Eni, Edison, Enel, Ansaldo Energia, and the University of Pavia. Regional councilor Massimo Sertori also attended the event, highlighting the region’s commitment to new nuclear technologies and their potential positive impact on Lombardy’s energy autonomy.
Guidesi emphasized that the Region is collaborating with Piedmont and Liguria through the Economic Cabinet of the Northwest to create a synergistic supply chain in the energy industry. An additional meeting is scheduled for March, aimed at engaging companies already active in the Lombard nuclear supply chain. This step is considered crucial for promoting an innovative and sustainable ecosystem in the region’s energy sector.
