The Lombardy Regional Council has approved an increase of 120,000 euros in the financial allocation for Pro Loco associations registered in the regional registry, bringing the total to 870,000 euros. This measure, proposed by the Tourism Councillor Barbara Mazzali, aims to enhance the tourism appeal of the area and to promote the local cultural and natural heritage, in response to the rise in memberships.
The grants will be awarded in the form of non-repayable subsidies of 2,000 euros for each of the 213 beneficiary associations, which play a crucial role in promoting the local tourism offer and disseminating information to visitors. The Pro Loco associations are considered the primary ambassadors of the ‘Lombardia Style’ brand, actively contributing to the promotion of the region through events and initiatives.
