A new photography contest dedicated to the places of worship in Lombardy was presented on April 18 at Palazzo Pirelli in Milan. The initiative, titled “Lombardia da scoprire” (Lombardy to Discover), is promoted by Proloco Travagliato APS and aims to highlight Lombard religious buildings through photography, regardless of religious distinctions. During the press conference, councilors Barbara Mazzali and Simona Tironi emphasized the importance of this project in raising awareness among young people about the history and culture of the region. Schools will be involved with a traveling exhibition showcasing the best-selected photographs.
The contest is open to both professionals and enthusiasts until April 30, by which date photos can be submitted online. The prizes consist of vouchers for photography equipment, with a maximum value of 600 euros for the first place winner. The exhibition of the best photographs will take place at the Fondazione Civiltà Bresciana ETS during the first two weeks of June, offering a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of Lombardy’s places of worship through the lens of the participants.
