On the occasion of All Saints’ Day and the Commemoration of the Dead, the Municipality of Lonato del Garda has announced the activities for the preparation and maintenance of its four cemeteries: the main one and those in the districts of Maguzzano, Centenaro, and Esenata. As every year, the facilities are maintained by two municipal operators who handle both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the burial sites, ensuring that the cemeteries remain in a dignified and welcoming condition for visitors.
Maintenance Work and Removal of Architectural Barriers
Among the extraordinary maintenance work planned for this year, the Municipality has announced the initiation of significant interventions. Special attention will be given to the removal of architectural barriers to improve the accessibility of the cemeteries, alongside work on the arrangement of niches, drainage systems, and protective coverings.
Furthermore, in the main cemetery, preparations are underway for a new burial field to meet the community’s needs, while new cremation cells will be created in Maguzzano for the reception of ashes. These projects, carried out with the dedication of the two municipal workers, Stefano and Giuseppe, will ensure a functional and respectful space for remembering loved ones.
Collaboration with Local Funeral Services and Moments of Prayer
The administration has expressed gratitude to the local funeral services that, with their usual collaboration, donate flowers and floral decorations at the entrance of all four cemeteries each year, helping to make these places of reflection more inviting. This gesture of solidarity and care is greatly appreciated, as is the daily work of the municipal employees who dedicate themselves with great commitment to the upkeep of the cemeteries.
Additionally, the Municipality of Lonato del Garda has organized moments of prayer for the Commemoration of the Dead. On the afternoon of November 1st, at 3 PM, the recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place in the upper part of the main cemetery. Simultaneously, the Rosary will also be recited in the cemeteries of Centenaro, with the presence of Don Marco, and in Maguzzano, allowing all citizens to gather in reflection and prayer.
