Lonato has achieved an important milestone in the health safety of its schools, with all eight campuses of the Ugo da Como Institute now equipped with defibrillators and trained personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The latest defibrillator was donated by the Cuore Amico del Garda association, in the presence of its president, Dr. Vigilio Ziacchi, and the school principal, Luigi Maria Speranza.
In recent years, the association has provided dozens of devices to local schools and law enforcement agencies, thus contributing to a safety network that also includes the high schools in Desenzano del Garda, which have been equipped for over ten years. These devices are crucial as they can represent the only effective treatment in the first minutes following a cardiac arrest.
