A new pollution alarm has emerged in Desenzano, located in the Lower Garda region, following reports from the Wwf regarding the discovery of a whitish material composed of chemical substances. The environmental organization has underscored the urgent need for interventions concerning lake discharges after the M5S and Sinistra Italiana conducted an annual monitoring of five discharges in the area in recent months. Recently, strange white debris has been spotted among the pebbles on the beaches, containing potentially harmful substances for the environment, such as soaps, detergents, and organic waste.
In response to these findings, the Wwf has sent an official communication to the mayor of Desenzano, the Coast Guard, and Arpa, urging immediate action to address the issue of illegal discharges. The organization has called for thorough inspections and the separation of greywater from blackwater, a topic that continues to raise concerns within the local community.
