The presence of organized crime and mafia in the Garda territory has been a subject of attention for years, but recently it has also become the focus of public debate.
The Five Star Movement and L’Altra Desenzano have organized an evening event to deeply analyze this issue, involving experts and personalities at all levels who can contribute their own personal experiences and insights.
On Friday, May 3rd, the event “Mafia sul Garda, esiste?” will take place at Villa Brunati in Desenzano del Garda. This evening will be an opportunity to better understand the complex phenomenon of mafia organizations that have been operating in the shadows, even in nearby areas.
Various guests will speak during the event to provide their insights on the topic. These include:
– Fernando Scarlata, representative of the Antimafia Committee of Brescia “Peppino Impastato”, who will share his experience in the fight against organized crime.
– Nicola Leoni, Mayor of Gazoldo degli Ippoliti and Vice President of Avviso Pubblico, who will talk about his experience in managing the territory and the strategies adopted to counter the mafia phenomenon.
– Stefania Ascari, Deputy and member of the parliamentary commission of inquiry on the phenomenon of mafia, who will provide her perspective from a national context.
– Paola Pollini, Regional Councilor and President of the special regional anti-mafia commission of Lombardy, who will provide an analysis of the phenomenon at a regional level.
– Francesco Bertoli, General Secretary of CGIL Brescia, who will speak about the social and economic implications connected to the presence of mafia in the territory.
The evening will be moderated by Dr. Laura Butti.
