This year, green enthusiasts will find numerous flowering and budding plants such as camellias, hydrangeas, begonias, and geraniums. Among the most sought-after are surfinias, petunias, and their hybrid million bells, which promise to color balconies and gardens throughout the season.
Roses will be the undisputed protagonists of the event. Selected by the world’s most important hybridizers, these plants range from ancient to rare modern hybrids. Among the showcased varieties are the “Ketchup and Mustard,” with mustard-red petals, and the “Moka Rosa” with a coffee-cream color. The hybrid “Sagitarius,” with its double flowers on long stems, will also be present.
For those who love vibrant colors, there will be dipladenias, daisies, and mesembryanthemums. Those who wish to create imposing hedges will find large bougainvilleas, fragrant jasmine, and climbing clematis capable of reaching up to ten meters in height.
The exhibition will also include special collections of succulent plants and tropical green plants such as philodendrons, calatheas, and dracaenas. There will be no shortage of culinary herbs such as rosemary, basil, and thyme. Visitors can also discover different varieties of chili peppers with varying levels of spiciness.
Bonsai lovers will find specimens suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings thanks to the proposal by the Bonsaki brand. In addition, dedicated stands will offer garden items such as pots and containers.
The event emphasizes the importance of connecting with nature for the psycho-physical well-being of people. After the success of last year, ornamental chickens will also return, perfect for enhancing gardens or parks with their pleasant aesthetics.
“Malcesine in Fiore” is aimed at both experienced enthusiasts and newcomers eager to approach the world of gardening without necessarily having a large green space. The participating floriculturists will not only sell directly to the public but also offer valuable advice on how to take care of the purchased plants.
Admission to the event is free, and it will be possible to visit it from 9 am to 7 pm on both scheduled days.
