Mauro Tomasi, a paralympic athlete from Riva del Garda, is preparing to take on three extreme challenges between late February and mid-April. The event will kick off with the 100KM del Cornero in Porto Recanati on February 22, where he will need to complete ten laps of a 10 km course within a maximum of 14.5 hours. Tomasi, who lost the use of his left arm due to an accident in 2000, uses a single-arm wheelchair and aims to maintain an average speed of 7.5 km/h to finish the race. Following this initial trial, on March 28 he will participate in the Cinisello Balsamo Running Festival, where he will attempt to run for 48 hours on a 1400-meter course.
His journey will continue on April 12 and 13 with the 24 Hours of the Ultramarathon Festival Venice, where he aims to exceed 185 km. These competitions are just a few of his endeavors; in addition to these extreme challenges, Tomasi will also take part in three official marathons in the following months. With his determination and unique ability to confront physical challenges, Mauro continues to inspire others with his extraordinary athletic performances.
