Art, theater, and dance come together once again at Palazzo Maffei in Verona, where the performance “Me Time” returns to the stage. This event will feature the talented performers from the Contemporary Dance Course at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan, offering the audience a unique experience in the museum’s exhibition halls.
Show Details
Throughout November, the final-year dancers from the prestigious Milanese school will perform alongside choreographer Camilla Monga. The show is inspired by Virginia Woolf’s work “A Room of One’s Own” and represents a production of the Teatro Stabile di Verona. The choreography is by Monga, while the music is composed by Federica Furlani. The event promises a sound journey that intertwines choreographic actions with the museum’s artistic collections, transforming the spaces into a captivating stage for young talents.
Cultural Collaborations
Palazzo Maffei continues to expand its collaborations with important cultural institutions at the national level. This initiative is part of the broader project of the Verona museum, which aims to engage students and young artists in a dialogue between different art forms: music, theater, dance, and visual arts. The partnership with the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi dates back to 1986 and has become a reference point for artistic training in Italy.
Performers and Schedule
A selected group of 14 performers will bring the show “Me Time” to life, which will also include exclusive performances by choreographer Camilla Monga. Among the participants are well-known names such as Giorgia Atti, Elia Bucchieri, and Priscilla Cornacchia. The event will take place on the dates of November 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, and 30. Each Saturday, four third-year performers from the course will take the stage, while Sunday will be dedicated to the individual intervention of the choreographer.
A Unique Stage
The performances will occur in the historic exhibition halls of Palazzo Maffei, creating a magical connection with the Carlon Collection, which consists of over 650 works of art. The audience will be engaged in an exclusive experience through the use of audio headphones, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the performance.
