The Ministry of the Interior has compensated Eleonora Grimaldi, owner of Bar Italia in Montichiari, for the closure of the establishment deemed “unlawful”. The incident dates back to 2019 when the Police Chief of Brescia suspended the activity for 15 days due to the presence of individuals involved in drug dealing and petty crime. The owner had filed an appeal with the Administrative Court, which deemed the measure illegitimate and awarded compensation for damages. The Ministry has been ordered to pay €3,000 for the economic loss suffered by the owner and an additional €1,500 for damages to the establishment’s reputation, totaling €4,500.
