An 87-year-old man, residing in Gargnano, was found dead in the waters of the lake after his friends reported him missing. The search was initiated on Friday when acquaintances, concerned about his absence and having discovered his car near his home on Via Vittorio Veneto, alerted the authorities. Despite the prompt intervention of the Carabinieri and Local Police, there was no trace of the man, while officers speculated about a possible health issue.
In the evening, the body was recovered thanks to the efforts of the Coast Guard and Firefighters. Investigations are now underway to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death, with several hypotheses being considered, including a sudden health crisis or an extreme act that may have occurred while he was along the lakeside.
