Two young men were rescued by the Alpine Rescue Service yesterday morning along the trail connecting Fobiola to Passo Spino, between Vobarno and Toscolano Maderno. The individuals, unharmed but stranded in a channel on an exposed ledge at an altitude of about 1200 meters, alerted the rescue teams using the GeoResQ app after realizing they could neither ascend nor descend.
The operation commenced around 10:00 AM and involved technicians from the V Brescia Delegation of the Alpine Rescue Service, along with a helicopter from the Guardia di Finanza. The rescuers secured the young men with harnesses and ensured their safety before airlifting them to safety with the helicopter. The operation concluded in the afternoon with the return of the teams.
