The Municipality of Salò has taken control of the situation and has started work to reopen Via Panoramica, which has been closed since February 28th due to a landslide. Despite the municipal order issued to the owner of the affected land, who was supposed to take action to secure the area, nothing has been done, so the Municipality has decided to take direct action.
The works began on March 22nd, and the main objective at the moment is to secure the base of the landslide to allow the road to reopen. This is a temporary intervention, pending a definitive and conclusive solution. It is expected that the works will take about ten days, possibly even less.
The closure of Via Panoramica has caused significant inconvenience to residents of the hillside hamlets of Serniga and San Bartolomeo, who until now have had to reach these areas by going through San Michele di Gardone Riviera. The reopening of the road will therefore be a relief for all those who live or visit these areas.
It is important to emphasize that the intervention of the Municipality is necessary to ensure the safety of citizens and restore adequate road access. However, it remains to be understood why the private landowner did not comply with the municipal order issued against them. This situation raises questions about responsibility and the need for greater vigilance and control by the competent authorities.
