The association **MusicaRiva** is set to kick off its new winter season, a program that promises to enrich the cultural offerings of **Riva del Garda** with high-quality concerts and events. Following the success of the 40th edition of the festival, the association continues to promote music as a central element for both the local community and visitors.
The winter programming will begin on **November 30** with the Concert of Sant’Andrea, featuring the renowned “Requiem Mass” by Giuseppe Verdi. The event will take place at the Auditorium San Giuseppe at 8:30 PM and will feature the Milano Classica Symphony Orchestra alongside the “Progetto Speciale” Segni di Bellezza Choir and the Canticum Novum Choir, conducted by Maestro Michele Brescia. The vocal cast includes well-known names such as Angela Nisi (soprano), Marzia Castellini (mezzo-soprano), Riccardo Della Sciucca (tenor), and Gabriele Sagona (bass).
## Christmas Concert
To celebrate the Christmas holidays, MusicaRiva is organizing the traditional **Christmas Concert** on **December 23**, again at the Sala Garda of the Palazzo dei Congressi. This event will feature a screening of the film “Fantasia,” accompanied by the Orchestra delle Alpi, conducted by Maestro Stefano Torboli. It will be a unique occasion that combines cinema and live music.
From **December 20 to 22**, the association will also host a Clarinet Masterclass led by instructor Calogero Palermo, aimed at young musicians. The lessons will take place in the Auditorium of the Conservatory and will culminate in a final concert scheduled for December 22 at 6:00 PM, followed by a Christmas toast for members and the public.
## Special Events
This season will be further enlivened by two special events dedicated to figure skating, organized in collaboration with the RivaInCentro Consortium and the CPA – Circolo Pattinatori Artistici Trento. These events will take place on Friday, **December 27**, and Friday, **January 3, 2025**, both at 3:00 PM.
The president of the association, Luca Rizzardo Gianfilippi, stated: “We have decided to continue the path initiated in 2023. The goal is to make MusicaRiva’s activities present year-round.” The intention is to offer significant events not only during the summer or the Christmas holidays but also throughout the winter months.
## Future Collaborations
MusicaRiva aims to strengthen collaborations with other local musical entities. Rizzardo emphasized that “the municipality of Malcesine has reached out to us to explore collaborations on events in the Garda area.” This synergy is particularly important given that Riva del Garda currently lacks a dedicated theater.
Artistic director Lucas Christ enthusiastically commented on the winter lineup: “The celebrations for MusicaRiva’s 40th anniversary continue with a series of events designed for both young and old.” The program offers opportunities for emerging talents as well as classical music enthusiasts.
