In anticipation of the Christmas holidays, Navigarda announces the reinstatement of special ferry services, facilitating travel between some of the most picturesque locations in the area. These initiatives aim to enhance the festive atmosphere and provide visitors with a practical and enjoyable way to explore the Christmas markets and entertainment activities.
Details of the Special Routes
From December 20, 2024, to January 6, 2025 (excluding Christmas Day), Navigazione Lago di Garda will offer connections between Peschiera, Lazise, Bardolino, and Garda on the Veronese shore, as well as between Desenzano and Sirmione on the Brescian shore. The schedules have been designed to ensure continuous service throughout the day:
- Veronese Shore: six round trips will ensure transportation between Peschiera, Lazise, Bardolino, and Garda.
- Brescian Shore: sixteen daily trips from Desenzano to Sirmione will operate from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Objectives of the Initiative
Alessandro Acquafredda, Director of Navigazione Lago di Garda, emphasized the importance of the renewed shuttle service in collaboration with local administrations. This initiative aims to reduce vehicular traffic in areas surrounding the Christmas markets and create a smoother experience for visitors. “We want to make the waterway the fastest and most comfortable means to enjoy the festive excitement,” Acquafredda stated.
Additionally, special nighttime lighting is planned for the boats operating during this festive period, contributing to a joyful atmosphere along the shores of the lake.
