Recently, Trento has enhanced its cultural offerings with a new archaeological audioguide dedicated to the Underground Archaeological Space of the Sas, located in Piazza Cesare Battisti. This tool, available for free download on smartphones and tablets via a QR code at the entrance, has been developed by the Archaeological Heritage Office of the Provincial Superintendency for Cultural Heritage and Activities. The audioguide, compatible with both Android and iOS devices, offers content in Italian, English, and German, and is designed to facilitate access for individuals with visual and hearing impairments.
Along the visit route, visitors can discover 11 stops that highlight the remains of an ancient Roman neighborhood dating back to the first century BC. The site is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 2 PM to 5:30 PM. In the initial days of its availability, the audioguide has already recorded over 130 downloads, demonstrating a strong interest from the public. Although this tool does not replace the guided tours scheduled to begin in February, it represents a valuable option for those wishing to explore the archaeological site, which spans approximately 1,700 square meters, independently.
