Digital innovation has reached the Municipality of Lonato del Garda with the launch of its new institutional website. This project was developed following the recent Design Guidelines for Public Administration websites and digital services, developed by AGID and the Department for Digital Transformation.
The website is the result of funding within the framework of the PNRR digitalization projects, specifically Measure 1.4.1 “Innovation and Digitalization of the Country”, receiving approximately 150,000 euros to cover the necessary expenses. The redesign was necessary to adhere to high standards of graphic design and navigability, using the national “comuni” model that aims to facilitate access to essential information for citizens.
In addition to being intuitive and accessible, the website offers simplified navigation that allows quick access to municipal services, events, and news. One of the most significant innovations is the integration of a specific computer language that makes the content more understandable even for users with cognitive or learning disabilities.
Among the introduced features, the ability for citizens to book appointments at municipal offices directly from the website stands out. This innovation promises to reduce waiting times and improve the efficiency of personal commitments management. Furthermore, it will be possible to express judgments on the clarity of published information, thus contributing to the continuous improvement of the user experience.
These innovations are just the beginning of a broader process aimed at transforming Lonato into an advanced smart city. Mayor Roberto Tardani emphasized that every technological evolution will be presented to the citizens and schools, highlighting the administration’s commitment to actively involve the community in this journey towards modernization.
