Desenzano del Garda has inaugurated the new Montonale Basso overpass, a 400-meter structure that spans the A4 motorway, following three weeks of traffic closures in the area. The opening took place in recent hours, but the works faced delays compared to initial forecasts, extending until December 5 due to issues related to the installation of the lighting system and the supply of necessary materials. This project is part of the public works plan coordinated by Cepav due for the new high-speed rail line Brescia Est-Verona, expected to be operational in 2026.
The construction of the new overpass marks a significant step towards improving traffic flow in the area, while the existing Montonale overpass will be demolished to make way for a wider and safer roadway for drivers. With this project, Desenzano del Garda is preparing to enhance local infrastructure and ensure more efficient mobility for its citizens.
