A significant new milestone for Garda Emergenza and the community of Lonato del Garda: thanks to the fundraising campaign “Circoliamo Insieme,” a specialized vehicle for transporting disabled individuals has been purchased. The initiative, carried out through the CREO project promoted by BCC del Garda and Idea Ginger, involved 194 supporters and achieved an impressive total of 30,000 euros, far surpassing the initial target of 10,000 euros.
The vehicle handover ceremony took place on September 7 at the Garda Emergenza headquarters, in the presence of local authorities and key donors. Special thanks were given to Franco Tamburini, president of BCC Garda, as well as to Luca Tassani, president of Garda Emergenza, and Mauro Martinelli, the vice president, for their commitment to making this project a reality.
The vehicle, equipped to accommodate wheelchair users, was purchased with the aim of improving transportation services for citizens with disabilities, making access to essential care and services more comfortable, quicker, and more efficient. Furthermore, thanks to the generosity of donors and the bank’s contribution of the final 1,500 euros to reach the round figure, it was possible to expand the project with the purchase of a motorized wheelchair, adding further value to the campaign.
The day, which unfolded in a festive atmosphere, saw the participation of other local associations, including the Red Cross and similar organizations active in the Valtenesi area, who showed great solidarity and support for the initiative. Participants had the opportunity to visit the Garda Emergenza headquarters and share a convivial moment, highlighting the importance of collaboration between associations and citizens for the common good.
The “Circoliamo Insieme” campaign has once again demonstrated how crowdfunding can become a powerful tool for solidarity, capable of actively engaging the community and achieving tangible results. The CREO project, designed to teach local associations how to effectively use crowdfunding, has represented an important platform for growth and development for Garda Emergenza and other organizations in the area.
