The New Year’s Dive will take place in Riva del Garda on January 1, 2025, continuing the tradition of this event that celebrates the start of the year with a plunge into the lake. The initiative, organized by Bicio Di Stasio, is open to everyone without the need for pre-registration; participants are expected to gather in Piazza 3 Novembre at 11:00 AM to prepare for the dive scheduled for 12:00 PM, coinciding with the first toll of the Renga bell. Despite potentially adverse weather conditions, the sun has historically shone during the event.
Participants are encouraged to wear only swimsuits or shorts, as wetsuits or other coverings are not permitted. After the dive, those who wish can join for lunch at Hotel Liberty for a cost of 10 euros. The event is also supported by the Farmacia dello Sportivo of Giorgio Martini and aims to surpass the record of 157 divers set last January, promoting a day filled with joy and good fortune for the new year.
