The A4 motorway will be closed for maintenance work between the Peschiera and Sirmione toll booths on the night of Saturday, October 26, to Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following day. The closures will affect both lanes from km 259+300 to km 251+713, in order to facilitate the installation of a new overpass as part of the Brescia-Verona Lot of the High-Speed Railway Line connecting Turin to Venice.
During the closure, travelers heading to Milan will be diverted at the Peschiera toll booth and can re-enter the motorway at the Sirmione toll booth, while those traveling to Venice will exit at Sirmione and can re-enter from Peschiera. Additionally, the entry ramps towards Milan and Venice at the respective toll booths will be closed. The Brescia-Padova Motorway Company has stated that it will do its best to reopen the section ahead of the scheduled time.
