The Pederzoli Hospital in Peschiera del Garda has reaffirmed its status as a national reference point in oncological surgery, according to the 2024 report from the National Agency for Health Services (Agenas). Presented in Rome, the National Outcomes Program analyzed the healthcare activities of approximately 1,400 Italian healthcare facilities in 2023, highlighting that the Verona-based hospital ranks third in Italy for admissions related to radical prostatectomy and also achieves significant positions for other cancers, such as those affecting the kidney and pancreas.
Medical Director Gianluca Gianfilippi commented that these results are the outcome of continuous planning and innovation in the services offered. “We have attracted new expertise and invested in cutting-edge technologies,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of the quality recognized by patients from all over Italy. Gianfilippi also thanked the President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, for including the hospital among the regional excellences that contribute to the overall quality of healthcare in the area.
