An event dedicated to extra virgin olive oil will take place on November 2nd and 3rd, inviting residents and tourists to explore the richness of the Alto Garda region. The event, titled “Frantoi aperti” (Open Oil Mills), is an integral part of the “Month of Taste” and is organized by Apt Garda Dolomiti. During the weekend, seven local oil mills will open their doors to offer a unique immersion into the world of olive oil.

Special Experiences Offered by the Oil Mills

At the Acetaia del Balsamico Trentino, visitors can enjoy an olive oil ice cream during the tasting event “Not Just Oil,” with special lunches available by reservation. Agraria Riva del Garda will host a “Green Gold Masterclass” featuring a tasting of four different oils, while other sessions will include guided tours followed by tastings. Agriturismo Maso Bòtes will organize walks through historically significant olive groves with paired tastings. Brioleum will present a gourmet dinner in collaboration with a local restaurant, while Domus Olivae OlioCru will offer a selection of six oils accompanied by typical snacks.
Inauguration of the Olive Grove Path
A significant new feature of this edition will be the official opening of the “Olive Path,” which celebrates the millennia-old tradition of olive cultivation in the region. On Saturday afternoon, there will be a guided walk along this path, followed by a tasting of new oil at a modest cost.
The program was presented to the press last Tuesday at Agraria Riva del Garda, in the presence of key figures such as Tourism Councillor Lorenzo Pozzer and representatives from the participating oil mills.
The president of Apt emphasized the importance of the event as a showcase for local products, highlighting how extra virgin olive oil is not only a gastronomic symbol but also a landscape icon of the area.
