On Saturday, March 8th, Arco will host an important vaccination open day dedicated to HPV vaccination, allowing citizens to receive the vaccine without the need for an appointment. The event will take place from 9 AM to 12 PM at various vaccination centers in the area, offering free vaccinations for males up to 30 years old and for females up to 40. This initiative is part of a broader campaign that will be held every second Saturday of the month, aimed at reducing the circulation of the Papillomavirus and preventing precancerous lesions.
The vaccine administered is the 9-valent vaccine, effective against several strains of HPV associated with malignant tumors. For individuals up to 14 years old, two doses are required, while adolescents and adults over 15 will need three doses. Vaccination is also recommended for adult women and men, significantly contributing to the prevention of HPV-related diseases. For more details on the vaccination campaign and the risks associated with HPV, an informative section is available on the Apss website.
