On the occasion of the time trial stage of the Giro d’Italia scheduled for May 18th in Desenzano del Garda, four ordinances regarding restrictions on traffic, educational activities, cultural sites, and commercial activities have been published.
The traffic modification ordinance will be in effect on May 17th and 18th and includes traffic limitations to ensure the safety of the race participants. Alternative routes and transit bans will be implemented in certain areas of the city center.
The suspension of educational activities ordinance applies to all schools within the municipal territory. This measure has been taken to avoid inconvenience for students and families during the time trial.
The ban on commercial activities in public areas ordinance affects street vendors who typically operate in the municipal territory. On the day of the time trial, they will be prohibited from conducting their business in the areas affected by the event.
Lastly, the closure of cultural sites ordinance mandates the temporary closure of museums, exhibitions, and other cultural venues within the municipal territory. The aim is to ensure the safety of visitors and race participants.
