In recent days, the Municipality of Padenghe has issued an ordinance prohibiting bathing in the area of the mouth of the Rio Maguzzano. This measure has become necessary following an incident of suspected discharge of potentially polluting liquids.
The restricted area extends between the restaurant “La Capannina,” on the border with Desenzano, and the pier “Relais Sant’Emiliano.” Local authorities have already started sampling the water to conduct the necessary analyses, and the results are expected in the next few hours.
This is not the first time this area has faced issues related to water quality. Recently, the mouth near the port of Padenghe was reported as “highly polluted” during the analyses carried out by the “Goletta dei Laghi” campaign by Legambiente.
The municipal authorities urge citizens to respect the ordinance while awaiting the results of the analyses and further instructions to ensure public safety.
