A paragliding accident occurred in the early afternoon on Saturday, February 15, in Provaglio Valsabbia, involving a 56-year-old woman. The alert was raised shortly after 1 PM when the woman fell to the ground at the end of a flight that began from an unprepared area on Mount Colmo, landing in a green space below. Mountain rescue operators, assisted by firefighters and the carabinieri from Salò, intervened to reach the woman, who was stranded at an altitude of about 1,000 meters.
After assessing her condition, the rescuers requested the intervention of a helicopter that took off from Brescia for emergency transport to the Civile Hospital. The 56-year-old was admitted in yellow code due to injuries and fractures sustained in her legs and pelvis.
