Giulia Scaroni, a young pastry chef aged 26 from Sermerio di Tremosine, has won the only gold medal at the ninth edition of the Italian Culinary Championships, held in Rimini. Her victory came in the Restaurant Dessert category, where she showcased her skill and creativity during an intense 45-minute challenge. With a carefully crafted dessert, Giulia presented an elaborate cheesecake made with Philadelphia mousse and vanilla, hazelnuts, and citrus, managing to complete her creation flawlessly.
The Brescia athlete dedicated her success to the support of the team that accompanied her throughout this training journey. “I am so happy. I was alone in the box, but without the support of my team, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this result,” she stated after the award ceremony. This achievement not only represents a personal recognition for Giulia Scaroni but also serves as an important tribute to the culinary tradition of Brescia pastry.
