Over the weekend, the Volunteer Firefighters of Arco celebrated the Feast of the Patron Saint, a moment of camaraderie that saw the participation of volunteers and their families. During the event, tribute was paid to a colleague involved in a traffic accident last August. Commander Stefano Bonamico emphasized the importance of solidarity within the corps, also recalling the efforts made during recent emergencies, such as those in Emilia-Romagna. Present at the event were the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, and Mayor Alessandro Betta, who expressed gratitude for the work carried out by the firefighters.
So far in 2024, the Volunteer Firefighters have conducted 632 interventions, marking a significant reduction compared to the previous year. Among the most common operations are support for rescue helicopters and responses to minor accidents and technical rescues. The corps currently has 85 members, including 60 operational firefighters and 18 trainees, ensuring a continuous presence at the station to handle emergency situations. The evening concluded with well-wishes for the upcoming Christmas holidays and a strong sense of community among the participants.
