Lonato, nursery school still out of order: plumbing issues persist. The situation for families with children enrolled at the “Karol Wojtyla” nursery school in Lonato has become increasingly complicated due to serious plumbing problems. Initially scheduled to reopen yesterday, the facility’s reopening has been postponed after technicians encountered greater difficulties than expected in repairing the water supply network. A new ordinance from Mayor Roberto Tardani has extended the closure for an additional two days, meaning the nursery will not reopen until Wednesday, March 5, as schools will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday for the Carnival holiday.
The ongoing work includes identifying the points of failure in the plumbing system and complex tasks related to the demolition of the floor, made more challenging by the presence of the heating network. Nicola Bianchi, the local education assessor, stated that the administration is aware of the issues and is working to resolve them as quickly as possible. Despite being one of the more recently built facilities among Lonato’s schools, “Karol Wojtyla” has already faced difficulties in the past, as evidenced by structural problems that emerged shortly after its inauguration in 2010.
