The Municipality of Desenzano has launched a project for the renovation of public lighting aimed at enhancing safety for pedestrians and cyclists, reducing light pollution, and increasing energy efficiency. The initiative includes the replacement of lighting systems along Via Garibaldi and in the surrounding streets, as well as the installation of new light points in strategic areas such as Piazza Garibaldi and Via Vittorio Veneto. Additionally, a review of the systems along Via Dal Molin will be conducted, taking into account the surrounding vegetation.
The total investment for this project amounts to 70,000 euros, with the works being assigned to Enel X under a contract that will not incur additional costs for citizens. The Public Works Councillor, Giovanni Maiolo, emphasized that this project represents a significant step towards a safer and more sustainable city, thereby improving the quality of life for residents and promoting respect for the environment.
