A public meeting on the treatment plant in Lonato has been organized by the “La Cittadella” Association for Thursday, January 16, at 8:30 PM at the Casa Don Serafino in Esenta. The meeting aims to express opposition to the project for the Brescia Garda treatment plant, with particular emphasis on environmental safety and issues related to the management of wastewater. Gianluca Bordiga, president of the Federation of associations dedicated to the protection of the Chiese River and Lake Idro, will be present.
The event takes place in a context of growing concern regarding the decision to locate the new facility in Esenta, a choice that critics argue will not address the issues already highlighted by previous projects in Gavardo and Montichiari. Opponents claim that the receiving body would still be the Chiese River, further exacerbating an already complex situation for the Lonato area, which has historically faced challenges related to the treatment of its wastewater.
