The Puegnago Cross marked the beginning of the 2025 edition of the Hinterland Gardesano, with an event that attracted around 300 athletes to a new course characterized by stunning views among rows of vines and olive groves. This competition, which has returned to the Fidal calendar in Brescia, was dedicated to the memory of Costantino Felter, the founder of the organization in 1978. Among the highlights of the cross-country race, Matteo Capriotti secured first place in the men’s 4 km event, while Silvia Casella emerged victorious among the women with a time of 15:53.
In the subsequent 6 km race for the male masters, Manuel Franchi excelled in the SM50 category, followed by an intense battle that lasted until the final lap. Stefano Goffi triumphed among the absolute and master athletes aged 35 to 45, finishing in 18:55. The sports clubs saw Atletica Paratico and Atletica Gavardo ’90 among the top positions on the podium. The event proved to be a success both in terms of participation and organization, promising a bright outlook for the remainder of the sports season.
