Manerba: Towards the Revamping of the Lakeside Promenade An important revamping project will affect the lakeside promenade in Manerba, with a total investment of 2 million euros. The municipality has recently signed an agreement with the Basin Authority to initiate the design for the renovation of the section stretching from Porto Torchio to Romantica Beach. This intervention includes the creation of a new pathway that will be 3 meters wide and 2.5 kilometers long, with future aspirations to extend it to the San Felice harbor, as hoped by Mayor Flaviano Mattiotti.
The revitalization of the promenade, necessary after more than 20 years since its construction, aims to address the increase in visitors to the area. Following the demolition of the current walkway, the new section will be built with treated concrete and gravel, featuring more efficient ground-level lighting. Meetings with residents are also planned to discuss the creation of green spaces and urban furnishings along the lakeside. The project will be funded through a municipal contribution of 200,000 euros, 800,000 euros from the Basin Authority, and 1 million from the Lombardy Region.
