The municipality of Bardolino has launched a design competition aimed at redesigning the entrance of the city, located on the shores of Lake Garda. The initiative aims to enhance one of the key points of the tourist destination, making it more welcoming and functional for both residents and visitors.
The main objective of the competition is to improve the aesthetic appearance and functionality of the entrance area. The mayor stated that “it is essential to create a space that not only welcomes tourists but also reflects the beauty and culture of our territory.”
The competition is open to professionals in the architectural and landscape sector, as well as university students and enthusiasts with specific skills. The jury will be composed of experts in urban planning and design, as well as representatives of the local administration.
Proposals will be evaluated based on various criteria including innovation, environmental sustainability, respect for local traditions, and economic feasibility. Special attention will be given to projects that can integrate natural elements with modern and efficient solutions.
Participants have until June 30th to submit their ideas. The participation methods are detailed in the official announcement available on the Bardolino municipality’s website. Once all the proposals have been collected, the jury will meet to select the winning project within the following month.
The winning project will receive a cash prize and will have the opportunity to see their idea implemented, contributing to the urban development of the city. Additionally, all the finalist projects will be exhibited in a public exhibition organized by the municipality.
