In January, the redevelopment of the former Navigarda pier in Castelnuovo del Garda will commence. This long-awaited project aims to restore dignity and functionality to the structure located between Gasparina and Lido Ronchi. The initiative, authorized by the Superintendency and relevant authorities, has been made possible through the awarding of a regional grant. The works, entrusted to the company Gardacruise sas of Gianluca Coletta & C., will begin with the dismantling of the current pier, followed by the reconstruction of the entirely wooden structure.
Once completed before the next tourist season, the new pier will be dedicated to tourist transport activities and will offer fishing tourism experiences, thus contributing to the revitalization of lake tourism in the area. The walkway will measure 61.50 meters in length and 6 meters in width, supported by 60 piles that are currently in critical condition. The Councilor for Beaches and Tourist Infrastructure, Domenico Pagnotta, emphasized the importance of the redevelopment in enhancing the image of the lakeside, while Mayor Davide Sandrini highlighted how this project represents a significant achievement for the local community and visitors alike.
