Recently, ten northern bald ibises were transferred to Caprino Veronese after sudden snowfall in the Alps blocked their autumn migration to the Orbetello oasis. Due to the inaccessibility of the alpine pass, the Waldrapp team had to arrange for a car transport to ensure the safe release of the birds.
The successful release of the northern bald ibises was made possible through the efforts of Bernhard Göner and his team, who worked tirelessly to return the birds to their habitat. This event marks an important initiative for the conservation of the species, which continues to be monitored and protected in the local area.
