Desenzano Hospital: Medical Staff Calls for Renovation. Recently, a group of one hundred and ten professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, launched a petition to express their opposition to the proposal for a new facility put forth by the Region and ASST. These healthcare workers, supported by former presidents of local associations, argue that the renovation of Desenzano Hospital is the most advantageous solution. They believe that the current facility demonstrates good efficiency and a rational distribution of spaces, requiring only appropriate maintenance work.
The petition emphasizes that the new project would provide less usable floor space and a reduced number of beds compared to the existing structure. Furthermore, the parking spaces would be significantly fewer. The signatories have submitted their request to the Lombardy welfare assessor and the mayors of the surrounding municipalities, expressing their willingness to provide further clarification regarding this crucial decision for the future of healthcare services in the area.
