Gardone Riviera, the post office will reopen on February 7. The opening of the local post office, initially scheduled for today, January 29, has been postponed to Friday, February 7, due to delays in the renovation works related to the “Progetto Polis.” This national project aims to enhance postal services in smaller and less accessible municipalities, ensuring equal opportunities for residents compared to those in urban areas.
The renovation of the post office is part of a plan that includes the introduction of “One-Stop Shops” in over 6,900 Italian municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants that have a post office. By installing new equipment and technologies, it will be possible to ensure continuous access to essential services such as identity documents and civil status certificates, thereby improving the quality of services offered to the local community.
