A meeting held at the Broletto brought together representatives from the Municipality of Tremosine, technicians, and officials from the Province, with the aim of discussing the situation regarding the Provincial Road of Forra. It was determined that a decision regarding the reopening of the Tremosine road would not be possible until Wednesday, April 11, 2025, with the possibility of a one-way alternate traffic flow in time for the Easter holidays. The road closure, which occurred in December 2023 due to a significant landslide near the Brasa stream, has forced residents to seek alternative routes, such as the Tignalga hairpin bends or the Sp115 heading north.
The Provincial Road of Forra remains a vital link between the Tremosine plateau and the lakeside, more than a century after its inauguration. The decision regarding its reopening is eagerly awaited by the local residents, who hope for a swift resolution to facilitate their daily commutes to work and access to services.
