Castiglione delle Stiviere: Deportation of an Egyptian Citizen with a Criminal Record. On Thursday, December 19, the State Police of Mantova completed the deportation of a 47-year-old Egyptian man, who was residing in the R.E.M.S. facility in the area, a structure dedicated to accommodating individuals with criminal backgrounds. The individual did not meet the requirements to remain in Italy and had a long list of offenses, including robbery and violations of authority orders, in addition to having disregarded a previously issued expulsion order.
The Immigration Office of the Questura then drafted an expulsion decree signed by the Prefect of Mantova, necessitating the immediate deportation of the Egyptian citizen. The man was escorted to Milan-Malpensa Airport to board a flight to Egypt, marking another step in the operations against illegal immigration in the province.
